Tateyama Kurobe:

Spring Scenery: In spring, the hiking trails lead through the snow-capped mountains. It is really rare to be able to step on such snow horns in early spring. The spectacle of the 18-meter-high snow wall is breathtaking. It is recommended to visit the snow wall in June. The snow wall is still 10 meters high in late June. Because there are fewer visitors in June, you can enjoy the fun of sightseeing. In addition, Tateyama in June is warmer and the weather is stable. Looking at the blue sky above the bus, the mountains protruding from between the snow walls are also coated with a layer of silver. Walking on the endless snow field, you may even find a white ptarmigan! In Tateyama, the Thunderbird is known as the “Messenger of the God”.  It is said that when you meet a thunderbird, you will meet happiness. It is open from the late May to June, You can visit around Sanxun Lake as normal.

Summer Scenery: When the broad-leaved trees sprout, the Kurobe Reservoir gathers snowmelt water, and the sightseeing flood discharge begins, it is the best season for various natural activities such as mountain climbing and hiking. At Murodo, the highest point of the climbing route, it takes about one hour to go around the beautiful curry lake. The peaceful lake mirrors the reflection of mountain, which will make you unforgettable for a lifetime. In Murodo, where the temperature is 12 or 15 degrees lower than that on ground, even in July, there is still a lot of residual snow. You can touch the snow or walk on it.

Autumn Scenery: Yellow, orange and red leaves, it takes about one and a half months from September to early November, and gradually changes color from the top to the foot of the mountain. The Tateyama Alpine Route is a tourist attraction with a very large difference in altitude. In the meantime, you can see the lush greenery at the foot of the mountain, the maple leaves in the middle of the mountain, and the snow-capped mountain top.

Winter Scenery: At the highest point of Tateyama, the first snow will fall in late September, and the snow will melt and disappear after about 2 or 3 days. From early to mid-November, the snow in Murodo starts to pile up the snow until spring.
